What You’ll Be Doing:
Producing high-quality fabrication and construction drawings
Carrying out efficient nesting for CNC cutting machines
Liaising with Project Engineers, Project Managers & Clients to ensure drawings are accurate and fit for purpose
Conducting drawing feasibility checks throughout the job lifecycle
Preparing cutting lists & material take-offs for steel ordering
Answering design queries in collaboration with the Managing Director & Project Manager
Ensuring all work meets industry standards and company policies
Communicating with other departments to ensure smooth project execution
Engaging with clients to confirm drawings meet their needs before finalization
Supporting the wider team with any additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience with CAD software, particularly Autodesk Inventor
✔Strong understanding of fabrication and welding processes
✔Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
✔Keen attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving
✔Confidence in liaising with clients, suppliers & internal teams
✔Solid skills in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
✔A proactive, adaptable team player who takes ownership of their work
