The Role
Working as part of our driven quality department to ensure delivery of accuracy, competence and mentorship within our workshop we are looking for a QC/Inspector to join the team.
The ideal candidate would have;
· A wide understanding of the key elements required for working within a busy workshop environment in the role of welding and dimensional inspector to ensure compliance to Drawing and welding procedures, to include but not limited too.
· Perform pre-weld visual fit up and post weld inspections.
· Define re-work or Repairs and document accordingly.
· Have the ability to work within a small Quality team and provide assistance with Junior QA/QC personal, reporting to the QA/QC Manager,
· Assist in the coordination of NDT Activities.
· Provide assistance in documentation and recording/compiling of records.
Essentials
· The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
· Qualified to CSWIP 3.0 Minimum.
· Time served in their profession (e.g. Minimum City and Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualified or equivalent)
· Be familiar with all welding processes.
· Knowledge of non-destructing testing methods
· Familiarity with Structural Materials
